Suho Memorial Paper Museum has been devoted to the education and preservation of paper culture for more than two decades. In 2018, it introduced its extended brand to the world – FENKO, which use Natural Materials as Reactants and Creative Talents as Catalysts to Catalyse various Ideas, Objects, and Space Designs. As time went on for one and a half year, FENKO stepped forward and gave birth to its sub-brand, FENKO SUPPLY. As a sub-brand, FENKO SUPPLY crossovers into the textile industry to develop paper-made yarn fabrics. The label was created with a vision to create paper-made natural, functional, quality pieces.

Inspired by the paper-cutting art, FENKO SUPPLY’s debut piece is 100% made of paper yarn. The piece is designed to flexibly fit all sizes of human figures (one-for-all), expecting whoever puts it on to feel the fiber thoroughly and enjoy the stretching and transformation of paper yarn on the bodies with different dimensional characters (i.e., 2D and 3D). THE PAPER COAT is the opposite of people’s normal impression of papers – fragile and breakable. It is stiff and protective, windproof, and washable. Nowadays, people value nature, hence the paper yarn is made of abaca and can be decomposed by microorganisms. It also helps to create a multifunctional product that is breathable and antibacterial with good absorption and UV protection.

THE PAPER COAT  featured with the Driftwood Hanger. It re-validates the link between humans and nature and reimagines how clothing relates to human individuals. Inspired by the ocean and nature, driftwood collected at the coastline and blended the wood’s rich life experience in the design of the complete fashion piece. THE PAPER COAT thus comes with various characters, allowing free souls who put it on to immerse in art with serenity as it is presented as an art piece as a whole despite worn or not.
